Hey everyone.

I want to introduce a new venture, fresh on the heels of BOATLOAD.

If you’ve ever tried to get flyers or posters up on Fire Island, you know it can be a pain in the ass. You design the thing. You find a printer. They ship it to the ferry. You get the ferry to bring it over. You make sure someone’s on the other side to pick it up. Then you find someone on the island willing to traverse the communities and get your flyers on doors and posters on telephone poles. And if you’re like most people I’ve met who’ve done this, you’re doing it on a tight timeline.

I’ve done it the hard way more times than I’d like to admit. It’s like a second job you didn’t sign up for. Same thought every time: why is this so hard?

So I fixed it.

Introducing Fire Island Flyers

You send me your artwork, place one order, and I handle everything: printing, shipping, ferry freight, and on-island distribution from Cherry Grove to the Pines, on the Wednesday of your choice. (Why Wednesday? Shares turn over on Thursdays, so your message hits a full house before the weekend.)

Fire Island Flyers is for anyone trying to reach the island with something to put on a door. A business, a nonprofit, a party promoter, an artist.

What I like most is what it frees up. You stop chasing down printers and distributors and get back to the work only you can do. The only thing that matters is whether you’ve got something worth putting up.
